Code of Conduct
Our code of conduct
Coaches will :
Be a positive role model for players and participants at all times.
Put personal or philosophical differences aside and address them constructively at the appropriate time in the appropriate setting. Never in the game or in front of the players.
Hold sportsmanship, class and character above all else, regardless of how the opponent acts.
Address the officiating crew in a respectful manner and only as Head Coach.
Make it fun and encourage/praise kids. Build a positive and cohesive team.
Communicate effectively
- Discuss with Director of Coaching and President any issues and/or concerns as soon as observed.
- Maintain proper communication with your players. Coaches are encouraged to remember the kids are just learning the game and must continually focus on the basics and explain things clearly.
- Have regular communication with your parents. Brief updates after each practice and/or via email should be beneficial. If any issues arise please be sure to inform the Director of Coaching and the President promptly.
Teach discipline, respect and accountability regardless of the player skill level.
Coaches will not :
